Covers and jacket considerations in creating your electronic files
  1. For Bound Galleys

    • That Have A Perfectbound Cover on Colored Stock
      Crane will adjust the spine at no cost to the Customer.
      If Customer does not supply spine information, and Customer wants Crane to make one, Crane will do that at no additional cost.

    • That Have A Perfectbound Cover that are Laser Laminated
      Customers should call their Customer Service Representative for exact dimensions for spines, head and foot trims, gutters, and flap sizes on perfectbound covers before creating and submitting an electronic file.

  2. For Short Runs

    • Perfectbound Covers, Casebound Covers, Dust Jackets
      Customers should call their Customer Service Representative for exact dimensions for spines, head and foot trims, gutters, and flap sizes on perfectbound covers, casebound covers, and dust jackets before creating and submitting an electronic file. The customer will be supplied with a written diagram showing exact dimensions for laying out the electronic file. That diagram will accompany the job throughout the plant, keeping rework costs down and jobs on schedule. Customers should communicate directly with their Customer Service Representative for this information.
